Arsenal football team manager Arsene Wenger has said that his side has not made an offer for rumoured transfer target Sami Khedira, who plays for Real Madrid as a midfielder.
Khedira, a member of Germany's World Cup-winning side, is facing renewed competition for a first-team place at Real after the arrival of Colombian star James Rodriguez and Arsenal has been linked with a move for the midfielder.
But Wenger said that Arsenal, who defeated Benfica 5-1 in the Emirates Cup friendly, was not making a bid for Khedira, Sport24 reported.
Wenger also emphasized that he did not enquire for Khedira's availability. He added that if he reads the British newspapers they say that the midfielder is available.
