Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that his side overcame a 'psychological hurdle' after defeating Jose Mourinho's Chelsea 1-0 to claim the Community Shield for a second season in a row at Wembley.

Wenger, who finally registered a win after failing to beat Mourinho's Chelsea in his previous 13 attempts, said that it was important for the team to get that hurdle out of the way, the BBC reported.

Despite Chelsea dominated possession, Arsenal clinched the win as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the winner in the 23rd minute following a Theo Walcott's pass.

However, Wenger downplayed the rivalry against Mourinho saying it was an Arsenal versus Chelsea match and not between the two managers.
