Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has lavished praise on star forward Alexis Sanchez after his side claimed a comfortable win against West Brom in their Premier League clash, saying the Chilean footballer is back to his best form.
Arsenal recovered from their recent draws against West Ham and Crystal Palace as Sanchez smashed two first-half goals to provide his side with a 2-0 win over West Brom at Emirates Stadium last evening.
"He is back sharper, more confident. Overall - especially in the first half - I think he was exceptional," Wenger was quoted as saying by goal.com.
Wenger admitted that the quality of the game was good as his side performed technically well, but added that it would have been great if they managed to score more goals.
"It has been in other games as well where we did not always make the maximum points for the quality of our games. The early goal certainly helped us to focus more on the way we play rather than being anxious about the consequence of the result. I think it was important and overall it helped the team," said Wenger.
The Arsenal manager said that his side need to focus on one game at a time and have to win their upcoming games in order to keep alive their hopes of the Champions League qualification.
