The latest spell of rains and snowfall has affected normal life again for the past some days.
There was no report of fresh rains or snowfall in Srinagar and other areas since yesterday.
However, intermittent rainfall in Srinagar and plains while snowfall was reported in higher reaches in Kashmir Valley.
The weather department has predicted light to moderate rains and snowfall till today evening.
The MeT officials said the Western disturbance is still active in region.

A medium-danger avalanche warning was again issued by Chandigarh-based Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE) issued yesterday valid for the 24 hours till today evening, for avalanche-prone slopes in Kupwara, Bandipora, Anantnag, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Kulgam, Budgam, Poonch, Doda, Kishtwar and Kargil districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The residents have been advised not to move in avalanche-prone areas and keep clearing the snow deposition from rooftop of their houses and bunkers to avoid damages.
Twenty eight flights to and from Srinagar operated normal as per schedule yesterday.
All efforts are underway to clear snow, landslides and other debris in about dozen areas in Ramban, Banihal and Qazigund sectors on the highway to restore normal traffic.
