Former England international Paul Gascoigne, popularly known as 'Gazza', was stopped from getting his hands on alcohol as he tried to booze himself after his departure from his luxury home in millionaire's playground Sandbanks, Dorset.
Gazza tried to enter a nearby Oddbins to get some booze after he moved out of his luxury pad, but the staff in the resort turned him away.
Earlier the former England star smiled as he posed with removal men who helped him empty his flat a day before the lease ran out. Gazza's landlord had told him several weeks ago that his lease would not be renewed after a string of disturbances, The Daily Star reported.
Gazza hauled boxes with the removal men, then was driven away in a car by a mystery brunette. A witness said that the former England star looked quite unsteady on his feet but he was upbeat.
Gazza was later reportedly seen dropping his keys off at an estate agency, but when the former Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur star tried to go in a nearby Oddbins he was apparently refused.
It was not clear whether staff thought that Gazza had already been drinking or had concerns over his recent behaviour.
Gazza was arrested for criminal damage for allegedly throwing a brick at a car parked outside his apartment on Wednesday. A week ago he was escorted off a golf course after driving a golf cart into a ditch, the report added.
