Reacting to Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's recent statement on corruption issue, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday asked why he was silent when the Maharashtra Government rejected the report of the Adarsh Housing Society Scam that indicted four former state chief ministers.
"Rahul Gandhi should respond first why his own government in Maharashtra completely killed the Adarsh commission of inquiry which has held three of his own government's chief ministers guilty, one of whom is still a union minister," said Prasad.
Prasad also said that Rahul Gandhi keeps quiet whether it is 2G, coalgate, Adarsh scam but he keeps talking about the laws passed by his government.
"The silence of Rahul Gandhi, along with Manmohan Singh, and Sonia Gandhi is responsible for all the scams of India," he added.
Earlier today in the evening, Rahul addressing India Inc at FICCI had said that corruption is biggest challenge for the country and is bleeding the people dry. He also added that the UPA II government has done more than any other government to combat corruption.
