In an attempt to prevent Ebola from spreading beyond the three worst-hit African nations, the World Health Organization (WHO) has decided to prioritize a few countries in the subcontinent above others.
WHO official Isabelle Nuttall said while addressing the press in Geneva that 15 African nations are being prioritized which means that they would receive more help in areas including prevention and protection, reported the BBC.
She said that the UN agency would "ramp-up" support to the 15 nations and will work with them on a plan. Nuttall added that action areas would include, rapid response teams, engagement at community level, training in infection prevention and protection and having laboratories in place.
