Describing the incumbent NDA Government as overtly adamant, Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D. Raja appealed for it to acquire good sense and insist on the resignation of its tainted ministers.

"Firstly, opposition is not adamant; it is the government which is adamant (and) not accepting the demands raised by parties in opposition for resignation of ministers. All tainted ministers should quit. By this time they should have resigned but are not doing," Raja told ANI here.

"The Prime Minister is not saying any word that's why we want meaningful debate in Parliament but before that the tainted ministers should quit," he added.

Emphasizing that the six Left Parties had organized nationwide campaign on July 20 to vent their ire over the latest controversies, Raja warned that the protests would continue if the government does not initiate apt steps.

"This is what we have been saying. Let us see what the Congress does. It is Congress campaign, the six Left Parties conducted country campaign, organized country protest on 20th July, one day before the Parliament session .And throughout the country we have done it and we will continue to do that," said Raja.

Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha has been adjourned till noon amid uproar from treasury and opposition benches. Several opposition members gave adjournment notices for suspending the Question Hour, which were rejected by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Majahan.
