Making it crystal clear that he has no intention of joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Senior Congress leader Shankar Singh Vaghela, who stirred rumors after un-following party vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Twitter, said here today that he is a Congressman and will always remain one.

Addressing the media, Vaghela said that he does not know who is creating these rumors adding that he will be actively working in the Congress only.

"Who started this rumour? Did I say anything like this? I am active in the Congress only," he said.

Vaghela has also denied reports about him being unhappy with the Congress high command and told that he is not in the race for chief minister's chair.

Clearing the controversy over him unfollowing Rahul Gandhi and also deleting several of his anti-BJP tweets, he said that he does not want any negativity on social media, so he took such a step.

"My point has been presented incorrectly. At the same time, I never use any pressure tactics. Blackmailing and bargaining is not my nature," he added.
