Hitting out at both the ruling TDP and the YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Friday said his party will fight for Polavaram.
"Unlike the other two parties of the state, we are not going to compromise with your future / AP needs Polavaram and special category status to become the No.1 state in the country. The Congress Party will fight for that," said Rahul, who kicked off his 'padyatra' in Andhra Pradesh today.
"We will fight for Polavaram. We will fight for what is your due," he added.
Further attacking the two parties, the Congress vice-president questioned why they were scared to ask for what is due to Andhra Pradesh.
"I can understand the intentions of the PM, but I don't understand the intentions of the Chief Minister of this state and the other party," he said.
