Will get Dawood even if that means mounting pressure on Pakistan: Rajnath Singh

He added that Pakistan was given all the relevant documents on Dawood Ibrahim, but they have failed to start the process to locate him

ANI New Delhi

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said that India will do whatever it takes to nail 1993 Mumbai serial blasts mastermind Dawood Ibrahim, even if that meant mounting pressure on Pakistan.

"Pakistan was given all the relevant documents on Dawood Ibrahim, but they have failed to start the process to locate him. If we have to pursue Pakistan or put pressure on them, we will do so to get Dawood Ibrahim. We will get Dawood Ibrahim no matter what and we are sure of that," said Singh.

Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary had earlier on Wednesday informed the Parliament that Ibrahim's whereabouts are unknown and an extradition process can only be initiated after he is located, contradicting a statement given by Rajnath Singh who had assured that the government would take appropriate action to nab the mastermind of the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts.
