Will Smith recently admitted the fact that he did not know much about the impact of head trauma in football before allowing elder son Trey to take the field, but he was compelled to share them once he learned the facts.

The 47-year-old actor, nominated for his portrayal of Dr. Bennet Omalu in 'Concussion', felt it to be a 'big thing' to be unaware of the information, being a parent, reports People Magazine.

At the red carpet of the Golden Globes, Smith said that he flies halfway around the world to make Trey's football games each week, not because he is a good parent, but that he feels Friday night lights are ecstatic for him.
