West Indies have been considering to recall leg spinner Devendra Bishoo for the second Test of the three-match series against Australia.

Confirming the news, coach Phil Simmons revealed that the 30-year-old was fully fit, saying that there was a lot more drive in his deliveries, Sport24 reported.

Simmons, however, added they would monitor Bishoo for next few days and make the final decision despite murmurings about his finger spinning problem.

Bishoo made 15 Test appearances for the West Indies and produced his best performance against Australia by bagging six wickets for 80 earlier this year in Dominica.

West Indies are currently trailing 0-1 in the series following their humiliating defeat by an innings and 212 runs against Australia.

The two sides will play the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne followed by the third Test in Sydney, starting from January 3.
