Winona Ryder has revealed that she embarrassed herself in front of E.L. James as she mistook her book, Fifty Shades Of Grey, as a book about the economy.

The 'Black Swan' star told Britain's Red magazine that as she had seen a tie on the cover of the erotic thriller, she thought it was about Wall Street and ended up saying something stupid when first met James at a party, Contactmusic reported.

Ryder added that she doesn't keep up with pop culture which caused the misconception.
