Hoping for a turn-around, five members of Indian cricket team visited a temple in Indore, where it is taking on South Africa in the second One-day International match today.
A large crowd gathered outside the temple to have a glimpse of the players who performed rituals in the temple.
"Five players of Indian cricket team came here at temple of Lord Ganesha to pay obeisance. People were waiting since morning to catch a glimpse of their favourite cricketer. The players prayed for the team's victory," said priest, Ashok Bhatt.
Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Mohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane and Ishwar Pandey sought the divine blessings of the local deity.
Indian team had a disastrous run in the series so far with the South Africa winning the three-match T20 series by 2-0.
The home team began the one-day international series with a loss in the opening game in northern Indian city of Kanpur. South Africa beat India by five runs in the thriller.
