'Wizard of Oz' coming your way with a twist!

Warner Bros. are all set to retell the story of 'The Wizard of Oz', this time from the perspective of Dorothy's dog, 'Toto.'

The animated film will be an adaptation of a children's book titled 'Toto: The Dog-Gone Amazing Story of the Wizard of Oz', written by War Horse writer Michael Morpurgo, reported The Hollywood Reporter.

Mark Burton, the writer of Madagascar, Gnomeo and Juliet is currently working on the script.

Jared Stern and Winsor Yuan will be producing the animated feature through their production company, A Stern Taking To. Stern has also worked with Warner Bros. on the Lego Batman and Lego Ninjago as a writer.

 

Apart from this, Warner Animation group has a few other projects in the line, including an adaptation of the famous cat in the hat and lego spinoff film 'The Billion Brick Race.
