A 35-year-old woman was shot dead at Goera Rongat in South Garo Hills by suspected cadres of Garo National Liberation Army, after she resisted an alleged attempt of molestation.
The woman was at home with her family when four to five armed militants entered their house and dragged the women out.
According to the police, the family had been branded as police informer by the militants.
