A woman from Hyderabad is struggling to get back the body of her husband who died three months ago in Riyad, Saudi Arabia.
48-year-old Markili Pochaiah, who went to Riyad three years ago to work as a ward boy in a private hospital, died due to breathing problems on June 3 this year.
He is a native of Medak district Boorugupally village. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
"As the condition of agriculture deteorated, he went to Saudi to earn money for our children's education," Markili Vijayalakshmi, wife of the deceased, said.
She added that her husband was having persistent breathing problems and that he was planning to come back in December.
While speaking on their attempts to get back her husband's body, she said, "We did not know what to do and whom to seek help from. One of the people from my village took me to the district collector where we gave a letter appealing to help us in bringing back the body. Collector assured us that the body will come in 20 days,"

One of the villagers, who is helping them with the situation said, "I read in paper that they have not received the body and it's been three months. They belong to the Schedule caste community. They approached MLA and also the collector but they did not take interest in bringing back the body."
The family also wrote a letter to External Affaits Minister Sushma Swaraj, asking for her to bring back the body.
