All India Progressive Women's Association (AIPWA) Secretary Kavita Krishnan criticised Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for being silent over the rape case of a minor in Bangalore's school.
"Karnataka government's silence is questionable. There is no arrest till now and the school also tried to hide it. Police made this girl go under medical scrutiny two times. It's against the law and is a torture for the girl. The government should think over it," said Krishnan.
She also condemned Siddaramaiah for yesterday's incident when he was found napping in the parliament during a debate on sexual offences.
On July 2, two gym instructors had allegedly raped the minor when she had gone to the washroom in Bangalore's Vibgyor School.
Since the incident, angry parents have vandalized the school premises demanding an explanation. They alleged that the school management was not addressing the issue with utmost urgency.
Earlier today, the parents took to streets to protest against the incident and a massive crowd gathered outside the police station demanding justice for the girl.
