Basic cost of looking good for an average woman is 18,000 pounds over a typical adult lifetime of 64.6 years, a new poll has revealed.
The study by Superdrug, which surveyed 2,000 women, found that women will spend an average of 9,525.91 pound on buying make-up and 8,523.97 pounds on removal products, the Daily Express reported.
The poll showed that moisturiser was the greatest expense, closely followed by foundation.
However, it was found that the most commonly brought item was face wipes.
The company's head of cosmetics said that the poll isn't about spending hundreds of pounds on designer creams, it's the day to day products that women use to avoid bad skin, spots etc, and the lifetime figure would be higher if women bought branded goods.
