A new survey has found that women shell out a staggering 40,000 pounds over their lifetime on getting ready for nights out.
The survey, conducted by beauty retailer hairtrade.com, claimed that women spend the amount on all the cosmetics and accessories they need to look and feel good, the Daily Star reported.
The findings showed that the average woman shells out around 104 pounds a month and 1,248 pounds a year on skin, hair and nail products.
The study also found that the average women spends 30 pounds a month on fake tan, 25 pounds on nails, and got their hair blow-dried for 20 pounds.
The majority of women surveyed felt these purchases were worthwhile with most of them agreeing that it boosted their confidence when their hair looked great.
