Asserting that all options are open for government formation in Jammu and Kashmir, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Jugal Kishore on Monday said his party would not form an alliance in haste as they want a stable government which would last for six years.
"All options are open for the BJP. Talks are going on and a decision will be taken soon. We do not want to take any decision in haste as we want an alliance which will be stable for six years," he said.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah is scheduled to meet Jammu and Kashmir party leaders later in the day to discuss government formation in the state.
According to reports, BJP general secretary Ram Madhav will meet all the members' one on one and take their feedback.
Earlier, the BJP had stated that any attempt to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir without its inclusion will be a travesty of the mandate given by the people of the state.
The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections threw up a hung verdict, with the PDP emerging as the single-largest party winning 28 seats. The BJP won 25 seats while the National Conference and Congress won 15 and 12 seats respectively.
