Patna, Oct.28 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) Member of Parliament Shatrughan Sinha on Wednesday said supporters of 'jungle raj'(lawlessness) in Bihar would now regret being referred to as 'junglis'(one who lives in the jungle).
"The 'jungle raj' which we are talking about today, many people were supporters and sympathisers of it. Many people also benefitted from it. I am wondering if people might be regretting, being called 'junglis', since they were once the supporters of 'jungle raj'. This should not happen, as they will be pained over this description," Sinha told ANI in an exclusive interview.
On being asked whether the BJP is experiencing a wave in Bihar, Sinha said that he wished and prayed for it.
"I wish there is a BJP wave in Bihar. Ho jai to bahut achcha hai bhagwan kare ho jai.(if the BJP wave happens, great, god willing it happens). I wish even today that the BJP wins in Bihar under the leadership of the honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, so that we are able to bring development in the state," he added.
He however questioned the fact that no action had been taken by the party even after the humiliating electoral defeat in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.
"There are rumours going on that, I am not happy in the party. Our party is large-hearted. What action was taken against people responsible for the humiliating debacle in Delhi? Many people were responsible for our party's defeat. Even after losing the UP election, what action was taken? Even in Himachal, we lost, but no action was taken. In fact many were promoted after the defeat," he said.
