World No.1 Tiger Woods reportedly looks poised to win at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational after remaining in full command of the tournament with a seven-shot lead after the third round.

According to Stuff.co.nz, although the American failed to replicate his sizzling second-round form, he carded a two-under-par 68 at the Firestone Country Club, seven strokes ahead of the rest in pursuit of his fifth PGA Tour victory of the season.

The report further said that Woods had achieved a dramatic 61 on Friday and will head into Sunday's final round with an intimidating record, having won 52 of 56 times on the PGA Tour when holding at least a share of the 54-hole lead.

According to the report, Woods' closest challenger is Sweden's Henrik Stenson, who fired a 67 to leave him at eight under.

Meanwhile, the report further said that British Open champion Phil Mickelson, who struggled for focus in his opening round, carded a 67 to finish at even-par 210, level with US Open winner Justin Rose and world number three Rory McIlroy.
