World No.1 Tiger Woods has not yet given up hope of playing in the Masters tournament later this month after he said that it is 'too soon' to write him off for the event, which runs from April 10-13
The 14-time Major winning American is a quadruple winner of the year's first major and has never missed the tournament since making his debut at Augusta in 1995 although a back injury looked to have ended his 19-year run.
However, CNN reports that Woods believes it is yet early to write him off for the tournament, adding that he has had a couple of weeks off from playing to get treatment and work on trying to get ready for the Augusta National.
Woods, who won his first major at the Masters back in 1997, was forced to stop playing during the final round of the Honda Classic on March 2 and also failed to defend his title at Doral the following week due to his back, the report added.
