Woody Allen has opened up about the alleged abuse claims made by his adopted daughter and admitted that he is "hanging in there".

The 78-year-old American screenwriter made his first public appearance at a jazz gig, where he played 'When You're Smiling', two days after being accused of sexual assault by his Dylan Farrow, the Mirror reported.

During his performance, Allen joked with bandmates and rudely took calls on his mobile phone as the music played.
