World Chess Championship: Ninth game between Anand, Carlsen to be played today

The ninth World Chess Championship game between India's Vishwanathan Anand and Norway's Magnus Carlsen will be played in Sochi, Russia, today.

The Norwegian World Champion is currently leading with four-and-a-half points to Anand's three-and-a-half points.

Both players still have four rounds to play.

Victory in the sixth game had given Carlsen a crucial one point lead.

The seventh and eighth games had ended in draws.

Both players are engaged in a twelve-game World Championship.
