World looking up to India with satisfaction, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the world feels that India has been able to stand strong amid global economic turmoil.

"From economic point of view, today the world is looking up to India not only with the sense of hope but also satisfaction," he said while speaking at the inauguration of IDFC Bank here.

Prime Minister Modi said the banking sector is seeing changes.

"Mobile banking is coming up. We are starting this from Madhya Pradesh and that too an area with many tribal communities," said Prime Minister Modi.

"We have decided to bring improvements in the appointments at the top levels of the banks. This improves efficiency," he added.

 

Prime Minister Modi further said the government is trying to solve the problem of bad loans.

"Bad loans in the past few years is a problem, but we can't only cry about it," he added.
