The world's oldest known Holocaust survivor has died aged 110 in London.
Alice Herz-Sommer had also recently appeared in an Oscar-nominated documentary.
The film, 'The Lady in Number 6: Music Saved My Life', is nominated for best short documentary at the Academy Awards.
According to Fox News, Herz-Sommer's was survived by her passion for the piano and love for son through two years in a Nazi prison camp.
She died in a hospital Sunday morning after being admitted on Friday, daughter-in-law Genevieve Sommer said.
Herz-Sommer was born on Nov. 26, 1903, in Prague, and started learning the piano from her sister at age 5.
Herz-Sommer's life has also inspired two books: 'A Garden of Eden in Hell' (2006) by Melissa Mueller and Reinhard Piechocki, and 'A Century of Wisdom: Lessons from the Life of Alice Herz-Sommer, the World's Oldest Living Holocaust Survivor' (2012) by Caroline Stoessinger, the report added.
