Would love to play Yuvraj Singh on silver screen: Gurmeet Choudhary

New Delhi [India], Apr. 03 (ANI): Actor Gurmeet Choudhary, who will next be seen in 'Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana', says if given a chance, he would like to play the character of Indian star cricketer Yuvraj Singh on the silver screen.

In an exclusive conversation with ANI, the 'Khamoshiyan' actor said, "Yuvraj Singh was suffering from cancer and people assumed that he won't be able to make a comeback in the same manner. But he proved the world that if you have the will power, then you can fight with anything and everything."

"This could be one of those biopics' which can teach a lot to the society and I really want to do it," the actor added.

 

One of the renowned Television celebrity couple, Gurmeet Choudhary and his wife Debina Bonnerjee were one of the top trends, courtesy to their wedding pictures shared by Gurmeet on his Instagram account.

Gurmeet and Debina got their first onscreen break together in 2008, with a television series 'Ramayan'. In the daily soap, Gurmeet played the role of Lord Ram while Debina co-starred as his reel wife Sita.

But no one knew that the two had secretly got married way back in 2006. The two not only kept mum about their personal life but continued acting as simple acquaintances, till things fell in their favour.

After few years of courtship, Gurmeet and Debina officially exchanged the wedding rings in a private ceremony in 2011.

On being asked if he wants to bring his filmy love story to big screen, Gurmeet just blushed and said, "Yes, we can do it. But only with one condition, that it will be only me and Debina acting as the lead couple in the film."

Starring Akshara Hassan, Vivaan Shah, Gurmeet Choudhary, Kavitta Verma, Saurabh Shukla and Sanjay Mishra in key roles, the film is all set to take its audience on a laughter ride on April 7th.
