Danish tennis ace Caroline Wozniacki was reportedly on hand in Augusta National to help her Northern Irish fiancee Rory McIlroy with a spot of caddying as he moved around the course at the Masters par-three event.

McIlroy, who despite a poor showing at the 2011 event, is the bookmakers' favourite for the Georgia event, although he fell back to level par after a bogey on the eighth and three-putt bogey on the 12th.

According to the Mirror, Wozniacki, who agreed to marry the former world No.1 earlier this year, also said they 'were working on it' when quizzed about a date for the big day.

Meanwhile, American Bill Haas has taken a one-stroke lead in the opening round of the 78th Masters on Thursday, going ahead of defending champion Adam Scott, who took a double bogey at the Augusta National.
