Louis Walsh has confirmed that he will not be returning to the hit reality show, 'X Factor' as a judge.
Walsh, 62, told the media that he thought it was amazing that he had appeared on the show for 11 years when he hadn't expected to be there for more than 5, Contactmusic reported.
He added that he hadn't been sacked from the show and that he wanted to return to being a talent manager.
So far, only Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is the celebrity to be finalized as judge for this season. Simon Cowell and Mel B are also expected to renew their contracts, but with Walsh resigning, another spot has opened up on the panel.
Walsh also lent credibility to the rumour that BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw might join the show as a judge. He called Grimshaw a "good idea," adding that he hoped for a great set of judges for this season.
