Yamato Transport Co., a Japanese home delivery service company, has forayed into hospitality and information service.
The company has set up an information counter at Yokohama Sakuragi-cho station to provide "free-hand sightseeing" service to foreign tourists.
Two English-speaking staff will help tourists by providing information about sightseeing at Yokohama, a famous tourist destination known for historical monuments related to Europe and other countries.
The tourists can send their luggage to the destination and get "free-hand sightseeing" at Yamato center. The company has assumed that around 150 people to visit per day, 20 per cent of them being foreigners.
