Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who arrived at Rajpath on Sunday to take part in the celebration of the first International Yoga Day, has said that the discipline is good for mental concentration, adding that he has been practicing it from years.
"I have been practicing yoga for years. It is a good thing and everyone should do it, it is beneficial. One should not politicise it. It is good for mental concentration," Kejriwal told the media here.
The yoga celebrations are being organised after the United Nations had in December last year declared June 21 as International Yoga Day, with 177 countries voting in favour.
The proposal was mentioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address to the UN General Assembly last year.
