Pakistan's head coach Waqar Younis has admitted that talented young players can build the one-day team for the future particularly for the Champions Trophy 2017 and World Cup 2019.

Waqar said that although it would take some time to build a young team, they are in a right direction, the Express Tribune reported.

Waqar affirmed that there is a need to boost confidence of these youngsters by giving them frequent chances to perform, insisting that these players learn fast and are eager to perform in all the three formats.

Currently placed at the eighth spot in the ICC one-day ranking, Pakistan somehow managed to qualify for the Champions Trophy.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will also play four ODI matches against England, starting from November 11.
