Younis Khan's ton places Pak in driver's seat against Lanka

A century by middle-order batsman Younis Khan on Wednesday, placed Pakistan in the driver's seat against Sri Lanka in the first Test between the two sides being played at the Galle International Stadium.

At the time of the filing of this report, Pakistan were 261 for the loss of four wickets.

Khan, who has so far scored an unbeaten 133, had a 100 run partnership with skipper Misbah-ul-Haq for the fourth wicket.

The partnership ended when Misbah was caught behind by Niroshan Dickwella of the bowling of spinner Rangana Herath.

Thereafter, Younis and Asad Shafiq have added 105 runs for the fifth wicket.

Khan now has 23 Test hundreds in 89 matches.
