Pakistan head coach Waqar Younis believes that his side will definitely bounce back and play as a team in the upcoming Tests against England despite almost losing their first Test in Abu Dhabi.

The first Test of the three-match series ended with a dramatic draw after Adil Rashid claimed a five-wicket haul to dismiss Pakistan for a paltry 173 in the second innings.

Expressing his views on their draw, Younis admitted that it was a big relief that at least they are not 0-1 against England, insisting that his side needs to stage a comeback against the opponents, the Express Tribune reported.

Younis, however, said that his side allowed the Alastair Cook-led team to threaten them, adding that there is a much need of pulling their socks up.

The head coach, who was not happy with his side's performance in the second innings of the Test, asserted that their batting was completely unacceptable.

Lavishing praise on England, the 43-year-old said that England brilliantly placed pressure on his batsmen and used right tactics during the match.

Besides three Tests, England will also play four ODIs and three T20s against Pakistan.

The two sides will now lock horns in the second Test on October 22 in Dubai.
