Younis wants Pak to shine through his achievements

Middle-order batsman Younis Khan, who is aiming to become the highest Test scorer for Pakistan, has expressed his desire to see his nation shining through his achievements.

Younis has scored 8814 Test runs in 101 matches and is just 19 runs short from eclipsing Javed Miandad's record of 8,832 runs.

Reflecting his views on the same, Younis said it would be ultimate thing for him to surpass Miandad, adding that the latter will always remain the greatest batsman for him, the Dawn reported.

He further said that he would try his best to accomplish the score in the first innings of the opening Test against England.

 

The 37-year-old affirmed that he would make his country proud one day by featuring in the list of players having scored 10,000 and more runs.

Pakistan will play three Test matches, four ODIs and three T20 internationals against England from October 13 in United Arab Emirates.
