Youth Congress workers on Tuesday staged a protest outside Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence over the hike in the price of onions.

The protesters carried banners and placards with messages such as "Mehengi sabzi, Mehengi Daal, Dilli ki janta hui behaal"

The agitators shouted slogans against AAP-led Delhi Government

One of the protestors, Amit Malik, said the Delhi Chief Minister should spend the money on people of the city instead of wasting it on advertising

"Arvind Kejriwal had assured before elections that he will not allow the price of daily necessities such as vegetables, pulses rice etc to be hiked inside Delhi" said Amit Malik, one of the protestors.

"We demand from Arvind Kejriwal that these vegetables and pulses to be sold at affordable prices in general stores and in mother dairy outlets. We demand him to spend the money which he is using for advertisement to be spent on Delhi's public" he added.
