In a situation depicting lack of empathy, scores of people watched a youth from Agra commit suicide on a video which was streamed online.

The victim, identified as Munna, committed suicide by hanging himself, and live-streamed the entire incident on Facebook on Wednesday.

Aggrieved for not being eligible for Army recruitment as he had passed maximum age requirement, Munna shared a minute-long video of his confession on Facebook before live-streaming his suicide.

He also penned a two-page long suicide note, apologizing to his parents for ending his life.

The body has been sent for postmortem, while the police are inspecting the video.

In a similar situation, three people grievously injured in an accident succumbed at the spot as onlookers were busy clicking selfies, on Tuesday.

The incident was reported from Rajasthan's Barmer district after pictures of onlookers clicking selfies with the accident victims in the background went viral.
