Yuvraj Singh leads India to victory in T20 clash against Oz with 'unbeaten' comeback

India has secured a six-wicket victory over Australia in their one-off Twenty20 international clash at Rajkot on Thursday, boosted by an unbeaten 77 by comeback star Yuvraj Singh.

With India, chasing 202 to win, making a good start and overcoming the early loss of Rohit Sharma to bring up the team's 50 in the fifth over, Man of the Match Yuvraj Singh hit eight fours and five sixes in only 35 balls.

According to Sport24, Singh, who has returned to international cricket after 11 months, partnered with captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (24 not out) for 102 for the fifth wicket off only 51 deliveries to achieve the win with two deliveries to spare.

 

Meanwhile, Australia, which batted first, posted 201 for seven, with Aaron Finch smashing 89 off 52 balls.

The first of seven one-day internationals will be held in Pune on October 13, the report added.
