Zac Efron recently apologised for his 'completely insensitive' tweets about Martin Luther King Jr. that sparked a flurry of controversy.
The 28-year-old actor took to his Instagram and wrote, "I have nothing but the greatest admiration and respect for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.," reports E! Online.
The 'Neighbors' star's post further read, "I realise that last night's post was completely insensitive and I apologise to anyone who I may have offended. So sorry. Z."
Previously, in the honour of MLK day, Efron posted a hunky picture of himself and wrote, "I'm grateful for a couple things today: Martin Luther King Jr and million followers on IG."
Criticising the actor, a twitterer wrote, "This is one of the most offensive/diminishing/disrespectful things anyone has said in relation to MLK today. Get over yourself.
