International Cricket Council (ICC) president Zaheer Abbas has said that the entire world wants to see India and Pakistan playing, adding that this is the perfect time to hold the series and reduce existing tensions in cricketing ties between the two nations.
Abbas further said he was ready to hold talks with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on the issue, the Express Tribune reported.
Meanwhile, the former Pakistani cricketer hails India's new skipper Virat Kohli, saying the latter was handling his job really well and hopes he would become better.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Shahryar Khan had requested Abbas to help him influence the BCCI into playing the series.
The India-Pakistan series is scheduled to be held in December in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
