Reacting to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan's call to paralyse the entire nation by December 18, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) head Asif Ali Zardari has said Islamabad is not Somnath temple that you repeatedly try to win.
While addressing party workers in Lahore, he remarked that Khan lacked "political wisdom" and added that his party had proved that patience was a "key virtue" in politics, reported the Dawn.
Questioning Khan's intention behind calling on his supporters to shut down the country by December 16, Zardari asked if he was unaware of the Dhaka tragedy.
He remarked that his party cared for the generations to come and could never paralyse the country or attack the federal capital.
Khan had recently announced his decision to shut down the whole country by December 16 but postponed the deadline as its Lahore strike was clashing with an event organized by the Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) on December 4 and 5. The party will now organize its Lahore strike on December 15 and will shut down the whole country by December 18.
