President Asif Ali Zardari has urged the newly-elected government to take tough decisions to end U.S. drone attacks, which he termed a serious violation on Pakistan's sovereignty.

While addressing a joint session of Parliament for an unprecedented sixth time, Zardari said that some hard decision should be taken on drone strikes without any delay, adding that delaying decisions do not avoid problems but only invited crises.

According to the Express Tribune, condemning the attacks, Zardari also said Pakistan will not allow its soil to be used for terrorist activities against other countries.

He added that the government will also not allow anyone to violate the country's sovereignty and it must be protected at all cost.

The president said that they value their partnership with the United States and Europe and Pakistan needed to further strengthen it on the basis of mutual trust, mutual benefit and respect for sovereignty, the report added.
