After crooning an Urdu song in his debut album 'Mind of Mine,' Zayn Malik brings up a fashion line as a tribute to his South Asian roots.
The 23-year-old popstar has launched a corresponding fashion line, a 23-piece collection, that prominently features words like 'Zayn' and 'Mind' written on hoodies and jackets in Urdu script, reports the Dawn.
Speaking to Vogue about his foray into fashion, Zayn stated, "Everything was created with the idea that this is something I would want to wear. I wanted to approach this as an opportunity to extend my ideas as an artist, and to give fans another facet of who I am."
"My family is from Pakistan, so having artwork in Urdu has huge significance to me," he said while explaining the reason to incorporate Urdu script.
In the month of June, his girlfriend Gigi Hadid was spotted rocking the Zayn jacket.
