The hunter, who led the expedition wherein a US dentist killed Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe, has said that the American was a "good man" who had done nothing wrong.
According to the BBC, it was Theo Bronkhorst's first remark after his trial for failing to prevent a legal hunt was postponed.
He said that the case was "crazy" and the permits to kill Cecil the lion outside Hwange National Park had been obtained.
The killing of the lion in July has caused outrage around the world while the dentist, Walter Palmer, is in hiding.
