Sikandar Raza has taken on the media over reports of the Zimbabwe players being given bribes by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to tour the Islamic Republic.

Zimbabwe became the first test nation to tour Pakistan after terrorists had attacked the Sri Lankan team in 2009, killing six people and leaving eight players injured.

There were widespread rumours that Zimbabwean players were paid USD 12,500 each to be convinced to make the visit. Reports claimed that USD 5,00,000 was paid by PCB to the Zimbabwean cricket board before the tour.

Raza said that no one has the right to know how much someone gets paid as these were all confidential matters, the Dawn reported.

PCB chairman Shahryar Khan had also refuted claims of bribing Zimbabwe Cricket ( ZC) but confirmed that a deal was struck with the latter for touring Pakistan.

Zimbabwe played two T20 and three one-day internationals, all at Gaddafi stadium in Lahore, on their tour to Pakistan.
