Ziro music festival: Arunachal Pradesh experiences best of indie-music at Ziro valley

Music lovers from across the county converged at the scenic Ziro valley in Arunachal Pradesh to experience the Ziro music festival recently.

This festival took place from September 28 to October 1, where music lovers gathered in large numbers to enjoy the best of indie-music.

Even heavy rains failed to let down the spirit of the music lovers during the festival.

Speaking to ANI on the same, a tourist said, "The best part of Ziro music festival is the stage show, which is awesome. The weather in beautiful and one can also chill under the afternoon sun. I really loved it here. Besides promoting tourism, the festival acts as a platform for the budding artists of northeast and other parts of India to showcase their musical talents".

 

"Besides music, one can get also enjoy the exquisite delicacies of the Apatani tribe and experience their culture. Moreover, facilities for camp accommodation nearby the venue are also provided so that music lovers never miss a chance to listen to their favorite artists and sessions," the tourist added,

This four-day festival is hosted by the Apatani tribe of Arunachal Pradesh; Ziro valley is said to be the home to the Apatani tribe, an agrarian community.

Dressed in their colourful traditional attire, the Apatanis are seen thronging the Ziro valley to enjoy the quintessence of music.

Ziro festival was established on 2012, with the efforts of Bobby Hano and Menwhopause guitarist, Anup Kutty.

Since its inception, the festival has drawn huge crowds across the country. Because of this, in the recent years the footfall of tourists has increased significantly.
