Zoe Saldana honors mom at premiere of 'My Hero'

Zoe Saldana paid tribute to her mother along with her sisters on the premiere of her new AOL Originals series 'Zoe Saldana Presents My Hero.'

The 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' star opened up about her family tragedy saying that their father's death due to a car crash in 1988 had brought her closer to her sisters Cisely and Mariel, the Huffington Post reported.

The beauty said that her father was "amazing," and losing him was very hard and tragic, especially for their mother, who felt defeated and had taken a couple of years to get back to the normal life.

Saldana continues saying that their mother was tried hard to make ends meet while they became each other's emotional support, for it gave her more strength to keep going.

 

The 10-episode show would follow several celebrities like Maria Menounos, Julianne Hough, Nick Cannon, Gina Rodriguez, Mary Lambert as they surprise the most important person in their life.
